Women’s football development in Ghana will take another major step forward when the 2025 Elite U-15 Girls Championship kicks off from 5th to 11th October at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, Prampram.
The week-long tournament, staged under the FIFA Talent Development Scheme, will bring together some of the country’s most promising young female footballers from across all regions, offering them a platform to showcase their ability, passion, and potential.
This year’s edition will feature 12 teams, divided into two groups. Group A includes Greater Accra, Northern, Upper East, Volta, Western, and Eastern Elite B. Group B will see Brong Ahafo, Central, Ashanti, Upper West, Eastern, and Elite Academy Bolgatanga compete for places in the knockout phase.
The Championship is expected to serve as a critical platform for talent identification, with scouts and coaches monitoring players for potential inclusion in future national teams. It also provides invaluable competitive exposure for the girls, many of whom are making their first steps toward elite-level football.
Backed by the Ghana Football Association in partnership with FIFA, the initiative underlines a commitment to #FindTrainDevelop the next generation of women’s football stars.
