Ghanaian youngster Abdul Moro extends contract with AC Horsens
Abdul Moro, an 18-year-old Ghanaian midfielder, has earned a spot on the first team of Danish 1st Division side AC Horsens following impressive performances with the U19 squad.Moro joined Horsens during the summer transfer window and quickly made an impact, leading to his promotion to the first team in January 2025.The club's sporting director, Esben Hansen, praised Moro's development, stating that:Firstly, it says something about the substance and thoroughness of our scouting when we can bring a player into the first team squad after less than six months at the club, and secondly, it says something about our good environment and ability to integrate players who have a background in a different culture.Hansen also highlighted Moro's qualities: Despite his young age, Abdul Moro is a mature number six and a physical specimen who, with his overview and strong technique, is a skilled game distributor.Of course, there is still great development potential, but he already has an exciting package and will make an impact in the first team.Moro has played in 12 league games for the Horsens U19 team in the current U19 Boys League 2024/25 season.His performance has led to a contract extension that keeps him with AC Horsens until the end of 2028.Moro expressed his excitement, saying, I am very happy to extend my contract with Horsens, because everyone has welcomed me well and is very welcoming.He added, I have gone through good development since I joined the club a little over six months ago, and it has given me more self-confidence.Initially, I will work hard to become part of the starting lineup, and then I will be in the Superliga with Horsens
