Private legal practitioner, Martin Kpebu, has cautioned against early celebrations over President John Mahama’s accomplishments so far.
He recalled that similar excitement surrounded Nana Akufo-Addo’s administration in 2017 before public opinion shifted.
“Somebody said in 2017, Akufo-Addo did very well. So we should be careful not to start celebrating Mahama too early. Let’s wait and see,” Kpebu stated on the KeyPoints on February 15.
He emphasized that public pressure and scrutiny are necessary to keep any administration accountable.
“We can’t allow ourselves to be carried away by excitement. We must demand results,” he added.
With the new administration barely one month old, Mr Kpebu’s remarks highlight the importance of sustained public vigilance over the country’s governance.
