President Mahama charges Sports Minister Kofi Adams to work to restore Ghana's lost glory
President John Dramani Mahama has charged the Minister in charge of Sports and Recreation, Mr. Kofi Adams to work to restore Ghanas lost image.The President made the admonishing on Friday, February 7, during the swearing-in ceremony to pave the way for Kofi Adams to officially commence work.Delivering an address, President Mahama lamented the state of Ghana's sports and tasked the Minister to turn things around.The Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister for Sports and Recreation, I dont envy your job. You have the monumental task of restoring Ghana to its pride of place in African and world sports. The shambles that is Ghana sports today is unacceptable. For a country with our pedigree and I expect that you inject transparency, professionalism, and modernity into the management of the sector.I expect that you will concentrate on building all the sports disciplines and I know the Ghana Football Association will be a good place to start to work to make sure that we return Black Stars to its glory days, President John Dramani Mahama said.The new Sports Minister, Kofi Adams has already vowed to do his best for the sports sector.At his vetting, he promised to holistically transform sports, stressing that all sporting disciplines will be prioritised.
