[caption id=attachment_1221835 align=alignnone width=608] Ibrahim Sannie Daara[/caption]Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Sannie Daara beleives a lot of thecurrent Black Stars players are just average.The senior national team has failed to make an impact at the last three international tournaments held in Qatar, Cameroon and Ivory Coast respectively.Ghana suffered group phase exit in all these tournaments.Recently, the woes of the team were deepened after failing to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament after finishing at the bottom of Group F with three points, having recorded three defeats and three draws.Reacting to the performance of the team, Sannie Daara, who is a Confederation of African Football (CAF) media attributed the challenges to a lack of quality within the playing body.Apart from Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew and Thomas Partey, a lot of Black Stars players are average, he told Sporty FM.Despite failing to make it to the AFCON, the Black Stars will hope to put up an improved performance when they face Chad and Madagascar in the next round of games in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in March later this year.
