President John Dramani Mahama has unveiled an ambitious plan to boost job creation and economic growth in the Central Region, promising to revamp key industries and infrastructure projects.
During his ‘Thank You’ tour on February 6, 2025, Mahama emphasized that his administration will focus on industrialization, modernized agriculture, and a 24-hour economy to create employment opportunities, especially for the youth.
Among the key initiatives he announced is the continuation of the Komenda Sugar Factory project, aimed at making the Central Region the largest sugar producer in Ghana.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to completing stalled road projects, including the dualization of the Kasoa-Winneba road and the modernization of Mankesim Market to enhance trade and business activities.
“Our 24-hour economy plan will ensure increased productivity, job creation, and economic expansion, allowing businesses to thrive and employ more people,” Mahama assured the gathering.
With a focus on infrastructural development, job opportunities, and social interventions such as healthcare and education, Mahama reiterated that his administration will work tirelessly to uplift the region and deliver on its promises.
