Renowned Ghanaian business woman Nadine Jaber, has admonished pupils of the Manhean T.M.A. 1 Junior High School in Tema to focused on the studies and be disciplined in order to grow into successful and responsible adults.
The Chief Executive Officer of Cosmo Developers made this appeal while donating essential items to the school, including: stationery, school bags, student desks, toiletries, and refreshments comprising over 200 packs of Perla mineral water and assorted soft drinks.
In a touching speech during the presentation, Nadine Jaber, Chief Executive Officer of Cosmo Developers explained that this gesture is part of their corporate social responsibility aimed at ensuring a conducive learning environment and supporting the well-being of students across Ghana.
“This donation is not just about supplies, it’s about showing these students that they matter, Education is the foundation of every thriving society, and we at Cosmo Developers are proud to contribute to its growth. My company is trying to make a change to make Ghana more beautiful by constructing buildings that are beautiful. I love to give to the community because the community would give back to me in the future” Nadine stressed.
“Teaching is a very difficult job, but students can sometimes make it easy. So, I plead with the students to support your teachers to help you because you are the future of Ghana” she admonished
The headmistress of the school Gifty Adjoa Mensah noted that the stationery and bags would support students to better engage in their studies while the desks would ease overcrowding in classrooms, and the toiletries and refreshments would also enhance student hygiene and boost morale.
The Deputy Director for Monitoring and Supervision at Tema Metropolitan Education Directorate, Madam Christiana Ablakwa in her remarks underscored the benefits of such donations by corporate organisations and individuals to the development of education and the human resources of the country.
“When we see companies come to our schools to give us support, I feel so happy because our schools are not private and our students are largely from vulnerable homes with parents struggling so much to make ends meet. Most of our students have turned into parents themselves because after school they have to go and work to get money to buy their learning materials whilst some of them come to school on an empty stomach” she stated.
The C.E.O again assured the school of her firm’s commitment to supporting educational initiatives, youth and women empowerment, and community development across Ghana.
The pupils entertained madam Nadine Jaber and her team with cultural displays, poetry and presented her with a flower bouquet as a token of their appreciation.
