…reaffirms commitment to lawful operations
Zoomlion Ghana Limited has firmly denied allegations linking the company to the use of landguards, describing the claims as unfounded and misleading.
This follows a report published in the Daily Guide newspaper on Monday, April 7, 2025, which alleged that property belonging to Turkish investors had been destroyed by individuals described as “Zoomlion Landguards.”
In a statement issued by its Communications Directorate, the company clarified that it does not employ, contract, or engage the services of landguards and condemned any attempt to associate its name with unlawful or violent activities.
“Zoomlion Ghana Limited does not engage in any outlawed operations. We operate strictly within the legal framework of the Republic of Ghana and are committed to ethical and professional business conduct,” the statement said.
Management emphasised that Zoomlion is a development-focused private entity that has built partnerships with several reputable foreign firms over the years. It described the landguard allegations as not only baseless but also detrimental to its corporate image.
The company also urged individuals or entities with concerns to use appropriate legal avenues in addressing disputes, stressing its support for the judiciary and the rule of law.
“Zoomlion Ghana Limited remains a responsible corporate citizen, committed to integrity, professionalism, and accountability. We call on the public and stakeholders to disregard these accusations and remain confident in our commitment to sustainable and lawful development,” the statement noted.
