An official partnership agreement for Bambu Heritage Productions, producer of The Mansa World, allowing Bambu to work more closely with UNESCO toward promoting African history and heritage globally through the products and activities they develop under The Mansa World based on UNESCO’s flagship publication on African history, the ¨General History of Africa¨. This agreement took place earlier this week, on Tuesday, 11th March 2025 at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
Signing for UNESCO was Ms. Stefania Giannini, Assistant Director-General for Education, and for Bambu Heritage Productions was Chief Moomen, Chief Creative Officer of The Mansa World. This is a big milestone for the elevation of African heritage.
Night tours in the offing
The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC), Professor Kobby Mensah, has listed Night Tours, which he believes ties into the NDC’s 24-hour Economy concept as one of twelve initiatives his office is tabling for the growth of the tourism industry.
The night tours will offer Ghanaians the opportunity visit tourist attractions even after they have closed from work.
While he believes one cannot legislate for people to spend two hours of their time after work in town, you can instigate them with exciting programmes to stay on a few hours after work to participate in tour activities.
His office is, therefore, working on the Tourist Incentive Voucher (TIV), which employees who do well at their various work places would earn to be able to use to spend time at some places of tourism interests.
