
The Black Stars of Ghana will officially open camp today in Accra ahead of their Matchday 7 and 8 games of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The senior national team will be hosted by Chad at Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on Thursday, September 4, before hosting Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 8, 2025.
The playing body is expected to hold their first training session today, September 1, which is open to the media and the fans, but on Tuesday, September 2, the team will train behind closed doors before jetting off to N’djamena Tuesday evening.
Otto Addo, who is the head coach for the side, has named a 24-man squad for the games, with Union Berlin left-back Derrick Arthur Köhn earning a maiden call-up.
Meanwhile, Jordan Ayew, Antoine Semenyo, Elisha Owusu and other players have already arrived in Accra.
After six games played, Ghana sit top of Group I with 15 points from six matches, three ahead of Comoros and five clear of Madagascar, as they pursue a fifth FIFA World Cup appearance.
