Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani says he is determined to instill his philosophy in the squad to help the Phobians attain their peak.
The former Ghana assistant coach believes only a clear and consistent approach will drive the team to the highest level.
"I try to impose my ideas and stay very focused on them. I try to demand and maintain a clear standard, where we need to work hard in order to reach that level," Dramani said after his side’s 2-0 victory over Kpando Heart of Lions in the Gbese Mantse Homowo Charity Peace Cup on Sunday.
"And in doing this, you need to be very deliberate, you need to be consistent, and you need to be patient. I believe that there is a lot to achieve, and we will not stop trying."
The match at the Accra Sports Stadium saw Hearts claim the trophy for a second successive year.
New recruit Frank Duku gave the Phobians the lead in the 36th minute following fine work by Ali Mohammed, before Hamza Issah doubled the advantage four minutes later with a composed finish.
Although Heart of Lions improved after the interval, the Phobians’ defence and goalkeeper Benjamin Asare stood firm, securing back-to-back Homowo Cup triumphs.
Hearts now turn attention to the GHALCA Top Four tournament, where they will face Kotoko, Bibiani Gold Stars, and Heart of Lions.
