Bibiani GoldStars head coach Frimpong Manso says the club’s maiden appearance in the CAF Champions League presents a valuable opportunity for growth across all levels of the team.
GoldStars, who secured their first-ever Ghana Premier League title last season, will be representing Ghana on the continental stage for the first time in their history.
The club has already moved to strengthen its squad with new signings as preparations intensify ahead of their CAF campaign.
Speaking to Joy Sports, Manso highlighted the significance of this new chapter in the club’s development, stressing the importance of the experience not just for the players, but for the wider club structure.
“For the club, it's the first time in the history of Bibiani GoldStars. And for me, I think that alone is something which is good for the team, which is good for the players,” Manso said.
“Which is good for the management and then the technical team as well. And it's a very big stage.”
The former Ghana international believes the Champions League campaign could serve as a catalyst to elevate the standards within the club both on and off the pitch.
GoldStars will discover their preliminary round opponents on Monday, August 12, when CAF conducts the official draw.
