
Ghanaian midfielder Sabit Abdulai has officially signed for newly promoted Portuguese top-tier side FC Alverca, marking a significant step in his career, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm
The 26-year-old joins from Brazilian second division outfit Botafogo-SP, with the duration of his contract kept under wraps.
Born in Techiman, Ghana, Abdulai is widely regarded for his physicality and versatility in midfield, with the ability to slot into central defense when needed.
Alverca praised his adaptability and strength in an official statement, expressing excitement over the acquisition of the former La Liga player.
Sabit began his journey in football with Spartans FC in Ghana before moving to Spain, where he made his mark with Extremadura UD.
His performances earned him a move to top-flight side Getafe, and he later featured for Ponferradina, CD Lugo, and Real Murcia.
In 2024, he moved to Brazil to join Botafogo-SP, continuing to showcase his talent on the international stage.
Reacting to the move, Abdulai told the club’s media: “I’m very happy to be at FC Alverca, on such an ambitious project.”
While he has represented Ghana at the U20 and U23 levels, the midfielder is still chasing his debut with the senior national team.
