The tournament will now be held from August 23 to September 4, 2025, in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire, with the host city remaining unchanged.
The adjustment follows a comprehensive review of the operational and logistical demands surrounding the competition, and aims to provide sufficient time for finalizing key organizational arrangements ahead of kickoff.
This update has been formally communicated to the General Secretaries of all participating member associations, who are expected to relay the revised schedule to their respective qualified clubs.
As part of the build-up to the tournament, the group stage draw is scheduled to take place next week, with the specific date to be announced shortly. Stakeholders have been assured that details will be shared promptly to facilitate planning and preparations.
Police Ladies, winners of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, will represent Ghana in this year’s qualifiers, as they seek to book a spot in the main tournament of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
The WAFU B Secretariat has reiterated its commitment to supporting all participating clubs and federations, offering continued assistance and information to ensure a smooth and successful competition.
The 2025 edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU B Zonal Qualifiers promises to be a showcase of elite women’s football in West Africa, as clubs from the sub-region battle for continental glory.
