Accra Hearts of Oak thrilled their supporters on Saturday morning with a dazzling 7-1 victory over Mamprobi Afa at the Kpobiman training complex, sending a bold message ahead of the new season.
The pre-season clash was split into three 40-minute halves, allowing both sides to rotate players and explore different tactical options. Right from the first whistle, Hearts played with rhythm and intent, putting pressure on their opponents with slick passing and smart positioning.
Their early spark produced two fine goals before Mamprobi Afa managed to pull one back, ending the first session 2-1 in favour of the Phobians.
Hearts returned sharper in the second half, dictating the pace and netting four more goals with style and composure. Assistant coach Abdul Gazale was vocal on the sidelines, while head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani quietly studied the flow, stepping in with key instructions.
The final 40 minutes saw spirited moments from both sides, but it was Hearts who wrapped up the day with a seventh goal.
