Black Queens midfielder Freda Ayisi has responded to comments claiming she is more of a content creator than a footballer.
The English-Ghanaian footballer has garnered millions of following on social media for her football-related contents, which features top personalities in the sport.
Ayisi, who recently signed for Watford Women, missed the Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco after she was omitted from Kim Lars Bjorkegren's squad.
Despite her absence, Ghana finished on the podium, winning bronze after beating then-champions South Africa in the third-and-fourth-place game.
The 30-year-old received backlash on social media from Ghanaians as the Black Queens performed decently in Morocco, with many claiming she is not as good as they were made to believe.
The Watford midfielder posted on a video of her highlights on social media in what many believed to be a subtle response to her critics.
She also followed up with a comment claiming it is not a reply to her critics.
"It’s not a response to anybody. I play because I enjoy the game! I appreciate every single person that shows love.⦠For the ones who talk negatively, don’t worry God will bless you," she posted.
Ayisi made her Black Queens debut in 2024 in the Olympic Games qualifiers against Zambia.
