Dr. Etroo is one of the Chamber’s founding members, and has been a member of the Chamber since its inception in 2016. He hosted and facilitated many of the initiatives of one of Israel’s past ambassadors to Ghana, Ami Mehl, in the Western Region.
Dr. Etroo is also a seasoned serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of entrepreneurial excellence in the business areas of radio broadcasting, construction, gold mining, real estate development, banking, petroleum retail, and mobile telecommunications product distribution. He is currently the CEO of Space FM and the Managing Director of Sametro Company Limited, which is an authorized MTN Distributor in the Western Region. He is the CEO of Sametro Logistics, Sametro Farms, Royal Palm City, Takoradi, (Real Estate), Sametro Guinea Conakry Sarl, Sametro Zambia Ltd and Sametro Inc., USA.
He will take over from HRM Togbe Afede XIV, who was the President of the Chamber from 2016. Togbe Afede’s steadfast leadership, generous financial support, and strategic business counsel have been pivotal to the Chamber’s founding and long-term viability. Dr. Etroo looks to build on the progresses chalked under the previous administration.
“My vision is to build upon our successes and explore new frontiers,” Dr. Etroo said, in his remarks after being unanimously elected. “We will work tirelessly, in close concert with Ambassador Gilad and his office, to create more opportunities for our members, to facilitate greater trade and investment, and to champion innovation.”
Dr. Etroo holds a Part 111 in Mechanical Engineering from the then KUST School of Mines, now the University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa, Ghana. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Delta International University of New Orleans, the USA, and a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from the IPAG Business School, Paris, after obtaining his tuition and research supervision from the Nobel International Business School, Accra-Ghana.
