Motoring with Bob Roco ROMEO: Oshan X7 Plus and Uni-K, launched by Changan Ghana

Changan Automobile Group has launched its new Changan Oshan X7 PLUS and UNI-K models on Wednesday 30^th Jul 2025 at its showroom in Accra.

The Deputy Country Head of Changan; Mr Ganesh Phadale as well as the Head of Sales; Mr Pushpendra Gupta attended the launch.

Speaking at the launch, the Head 0f Sales, Mr Gupta, noted that the Oshan UNI-K renders a highly quality 360 panel that gives control over parking of the vehicle precisely and it has cameras on the front, rare side and side of the mirrors, he said.

The X7 Plus on the other hand, comes with a 10.3-inch screen coloured Lcd which features Android, Apple, Bluetooth and many more. It comes with 4 robust speakers and driving head rest. Its leather seats give more comfort and luxury. It also has a wide sun roof which gives you a good view of the sky.

The rear seat can be folded over to create a superior large space up to 518Ltrs and can be increased to 1,400Ltrs when rear seats are moved or folded.

Changan gives a warranty of 5yrs or 100,000 km.

“The X7 Plus is a family car and it’s a 7-seater meant for a family-oriented person. The UNI-K is a very ostentatious car for the corporate person, and because the Ghana cedi is appreciating to about 35%, he noted this is the best time to buy a brand-new car from Changa,” Mr Gupta explained.

Melvin Osei Mensah, Sales Consultant for Changan highlighted specifications for the X7 also comes with a 360 camera, panoramic sunroof, from the front to the rear seat with sophisticated interior leather seats and it comes with a 19-inch ground wheel, whiles most vehicles comes with 16inch or 17inch.

Considering all these functions, any of these vehicles should cost over $50,000 USD, but we are selling it below $35,000 which is very affordable, he said.

Customers were advised to use Ron 95 fuel only and to always service their vehicles at any of Changan Service Centres in Accra, Tema, Takoradi, and Kumasi, to enable them qualify for the warranty.

Changan means lasting safety therefore our vehicle has 4 electronic air bags, and we can state that no vehicle has that currently.

The Oshan X7 PLUS has a sporty steering wheel, and four-wheel adjustments, which means you, can lift the steering wheel up and down, inside and outside. It also comes with hidden door handles, and immediately the vehicle is unlocked, the hidden handle becomes visible for use.

The UNI-K has contemporary design, with a 2.0 charge drive. This vehicle has a 5 star rating because it has excellent safety performance, Mr. Mensah said.

UNI-K comes with a 2.0Ltre engine and a 230hp and has a fuel saving mechanism, which is powerful, impeccable and it is equipped with the intelligent all new drive system for quick and smooth drive. This improves the efficiency of the vehicle, which helps to reduce exhaust emissions and fuel consumption effectively.

The UNI-K also comes with a Reverse camera system, independent suspension for Luxury and comfort and it gives a pleasant driving experience, intimate and safe, as one enjoys driving along. It has safety features like intelligent time preferential monitoring and Key hold control.

The UNI-K comes with a 10.2 captivating touch screen, which features Android Auto, Apple Car play, YouTube and more.

The MC6 tyres helps the new UNI-K to increase the grip of the vehicle on the road, and increase its stature.
