
Renowned Ghanaian Highlife musician Nana Kwaku Duah, popularly known as Dada KD, has passed away.
Details surrounding the cause of his death remain undisclosed at this time.
Dada KD was celebrated for his timeless contributions to Ghana music. His distinctive voice and emotional delivery earned him widespread acclaim, including the Best Male Vocal Artist award at the 2004 Ghana Music Awards UK.
His passing comes just days before he was scheduled to perform in London on May 25, alongside artists such as Obrafour, Slim Buster, and Kojo Blakk.
On social media, tributes have begun pouring in from fans and fellow musicians. Gospel singer Empress Gifty simply posted, “Dada KD,” in a heartfelt tribute.
Dada KD’s most memorable songs include Fatia Fata Nkrumah, Tekyere Ma, Ene Menye, Wosuro a Wondi, and Honey Love. His legacy as a Highlife icon continues to inspire generations.
