Police have arrested two staff of the Nkawkaw Branch of Fidelity Bank in the Eastern region for allegedly stealing Ghc112,550 from the bank.
The suspects are Gabriel Yamoah Appiah and Evans Amoakohene, Branch manager and operations Manager respectively.
They were arrested by the Nkawkaw Police Thursday 28, 2019 following complaints by the Financial Crime Manager of Fidelity Bank -Headoffice Accra that the suspects have stolen the said amount after an audit.
Also, they were accused of allegedly forging Electricity Prapaid Vouchers between June 2017 till date to dupe the Bank.
The suspects have been detained by the Police to assist in investigations, according to the Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh who confirmed the arrest to Starr News.
