A/R Police Commander is not worthy of his uniform – Kwame Zu

The National Democratic Congress in the Ashanti Region is demanding the interdiction of the Ashanti regional police commander DCOP Kwasi Mensa Duku.

This adds up to the intense pressure being mounted from several quarters after a governments report vindicated seven persons who were killed by the police at on suspicion of armed robbery.

Ashanti regional secretary of the NDC, told host Kwame Adinkra on Abusua Nkomo the police commander is not worth his uniform.because his accounts of the incident “were , unfortunate, reckless, reprehensible and irresponsible”

Kwame Zu insisted that that “the police commander is not worthy of his uniform and ideally he should be part of the twenty one officers who have been interdicted  for investigation and possible interdiction.”

“We don’t feel safe under him and this is what happens when officers are open to political manipulation and I think it is rather unfortunate,” he added.

The party scribe further called for government to publish better details about the committee’s investigative report and give Ghanaians timelines to the investigation and prosecution of the interdicted police officers.
