Broken Marriage: My marriage with Lawrence Abrokwa was illegal - Afia Schwarzenegger

According to Afia Schwarzenegger, Lawrence Abrokwa abused her physically three days after their traditional wedding.

Actress and comedienne Afia Schwarzenegger has asserted that her marriage with her ex-husband Mr Lawrence Abrokwa was not legal.

She said they got married without marriage certificate.

According to her, Lawrence Abrokwa abused her physically three days after their traditional wedding.

Afia Schwarzenegger was reported to have engaged in an amorous sexual relationship in her matrimonial home but was caught red-handed by her Lawrence Abrokwa.

 

In a video, she's heard begging her husband to forgive her after he threatened to pour an acid on her for cheating.

But Afia Schwarzenegger speaking on her broken marriage in an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM said "My marriage with Lawrence Abrokwa was not legal. We got married on October 22 but November 1 was stated on the marriage certificate. I did not get the certificate on my wedding day.

"Three days after our traditional wedding, my ex-husband, Abrokwa beat me up. He dragged my disabled mother on the ground. My relatives can attest to this."
