At the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the city of Accra and the Accra Symphony Orchestra in Accra, the Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, Mohammed Adjei Sowah described the situation as worrying.
He said that the number of motor accidents, if not checked could threaten the foundation of society.

Many have over the years blamed indiscipline among drivers and pedestrians as the major cause of accidents.
Mr Adjei Sowah said this will not be tolerated anymore, as over 2,000 personnel of MTTD have been deployed with logistics within Accra, to deal with the careless drivers.
