The Ghana midfielder scored five goals for his Indonesian side Persib Bandung

Michael Essien is selling out good football to fans in the Indonesian topflight league and aside executing his midfield role effectively, he has added goal scoring to his play.

The former Chelsea midfielder has been an inspiration to football in the Asian country and despite struggling to adapt to the weather in the initial stage, he has gradually picked up his pieces to meet the expectations of his club owners.

Essien scored some fabulous goals for Persib Bandung last term starting with a goal from the spot kick, followed by two headed goals and two from his foot.

Michael Essien is the biggest thing to happen to domestic football in Indonesia, arriving against the back drop of being the most expensive player in the league.

It would be recalled that he joined Persib Bandung with his former Chelsea teammate Carlton Cole, yet the English midfielder has been released by the club for failing live up to the billing, remaining the Ghanaian who has been incredible.
