Five people, including two drivers, have died in a fatal accident at Kubease near Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.

Police said that the KIA bus with registration number GT-3335 -16 was travelling from the Accra-Kumasi direction when it veered into the lane of the oncoming cargo truck from the opposite direction.

The deceased were three males and two females.
The Fire Service, Ambulance Service and the police Motor Transport and Traffic Department were at the scene to rescue the victims with support of some residents.
Meanwhile, several others who sustained various degrees of injury, are receiving treatment at the Ejisu Government Hospital and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
