

The late Nana Serwa Ampem II, who was the mother of the current Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, passed away in November 2016 at 111 years.
Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Monday took to the floor to do a traditional dance during the final funeral rites of his late mother.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was donning for the second time his war regalia, batakari kesie.
The late Nana Serwa Ampem II, who was the mother of the current Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, passed away in November 2016 at 111 years.
She was succeeded by Nana Konadu Yiadom II, Asantehene’s elder sister.

Even though her burial rites were performed in January 2017, her funeral rites are being held over a two-week period in the Ashanti Region.
