“The General Public is hereby reminded that Friday, December 1, 2017, which marks FARMERS DAY, is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.”
The national farmers’ day celebration will take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

Meanwhile, similar celebrations will also be held in the other nine regions.
The day coincides with the week-long final funeral rites of the Asantehemaa Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II.
