Media reports indicate that after the information was given most of the Members of Parliament (MPs) started jubilating.
The governing party, Zanu-PF attempted to remove President Mugabe from office on Tuesday (November 21, 2017).

Mr Mugabe had previously refused to resign despite last week’s military takeover, and days of protests against his rule.
He has been in power since independence in 1980.
