The founder and general-overseer of Ebenezer Miracle Worship Center, Rev. Ebenezer Obambour Darkwa Yiadom, has backed the re-election bid of the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party, Mr. Benard Antwi Boasiako, aka Chairman Wontumi.

Darkwa Yiadom, aka the Prophet 1, declared last Sunday that NPP members preparing to contest Chairman Wontumi will be doing so in vain.
He made the comments when the NPP chairman joined him to worship at his church.
"You won’t win against Wontumi. There are people God has made this way no matter how hard you try, you won’t win if you contest him," he said.
"He can decide to climb up the ladder and decide to contest for the National Chairmanship position, he would win. It is all about his good works and dedication”, he aded.

The former Bantama Constituency Chairman of the NPP in the Ashanti Region, Henry Kokofu, has declared his intention to contest Wontumi for the chairmanship position.
