

Henry Ohene Brenya has hanged up his boots
General skipper of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Henry Ohene Brenya has called time on his football career.
Brenya, 32 joined Asante Kotoko from Berekum Arsenal in 2008 and helped the Porcupine Warriors clinch the 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14.
Ohene Brenya who had given the hierarchy of the club three months’ notice that he would retire by the close of the season has confirmed it following Kotoko’s victory over Hearts of Oak in the FA Cup.

“Yes, it is true I have retired from the game, I have been in the game for some time now, about 15 years and I think I have to leave to allow the young ones get the chance as well,” he Atinka FM
Ohene Brenya who is from the Asante royal family, served as the skipper of the club, before becoming the general captain due to lack of much playing time.
He also had stint with Bofoakwa FC and Kade Hotspurs, before joining Arsenal.
