

The Ghana government is looking to fly more fans to India to support the Black Starlets.
The government of Ghana is planning on sending more supporters to India ahead of Ghana’s quarter-final date with Mali in the ongoing U-17 World Cup.

This is according to the deputy-Minister for Youth and Sports, Pius Enam Hadzide, who believes the team needs more support from fans.
The Black Starlets moved a step further to the trophy by edging out Niger to make it into the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Goals from Eric Ayiah and Richard Danso on either side of the first half made sure Ghana will now face fellow West Africans Mali in the last 8.

Ahead of the clash, the deputy Sports Minister Pius Enam Hadzide has revealed plans to fly more supporters to India to cheer on the Black Starlets.
According to him, government is seeking support from some corporate companies in a bid to ensure fans are flown to the tournament.
“More fans will be sent to India to support the Starlets in the quarter finals against Mali,” Hadzide is quoted as saying by footballmadeinghana.com.

“We are praying for more support from more companies and individuals in order to send other fans to go and add up.”
The Black Starlets will face their Malian counterparts on Saturday, with the winner advancing to the semi-finals of the U-17 World Cup.
Ghana has already won the tournament twice since its inception, and are aiming to be third-time champions.
