Isaac Cofie has been admitted at the hospital after contracting an affection

Ghana midfielder Isaac Cofie has hospitalized and undergoing antibiotic treatment following an infection he contracted.

Cofie who earned his debut Black Stars call-up in 2012 has been with Genoa since 2013 is likely to be out for some games for his Italian serie A games.

A statement on the club's website read: ''Genoa Cricket and Football Club announces that midfielder Isaac Cofie has been hospitalized today (Wednesday) at San Martino hospital, due to an infection requiring antibiotic treatment.

''The player’s condition is under medical supervision. With a regular course, he’ll be released in the coming days.''
