

Fans of NEA Salamina have used a river deity to invoke curses on officials of the GFA for unlawful means to deny them points that are due them.
NEA Salamina, a Division One League campaigner have invoked curses on officials of the Ghana Football Association over purported attempt to deny the club vital points.
The division one side based in Wamanafo in the Brong Ahafo region have expressed their displeasure over the way and manner some GFA officials and some politicians want to use their powers to ensure they don't get the desired results to secure a place in the Ghana Premier League, hence displayed their anger by calling on a river deity to take vengeance against such people who would attempt to overturn results that went in their favour.

NEA Salamina made the headlines when they matched Asante Kotoko boot for boot in the FA Cup before the Ghana Premier League side benefitted from a dubious penalty in the late minutes of the game to kick out the former in a bizarre manner, but the centre referee was afterwards handed a ban by the GFA
