A feeling of deprivation was experienced by the fans of the game show following the exit of the media personality.
Frank Edoho announced yesterday the end of a 13-year role as the anchor of the "Who wants to be a Millionaire" game show and it only brought a sense of deprivation to fans.
The presenter had managed his image as a prime time hero bringing humour and suspense into the question based programme.
While many fans expressed sadness over termination of his contract with Ultima Limited, former Big Brother Naija host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu teased Edoho regarding his exit from WWTBAM.
Responding to the earlier announcement by the media personality, Obi-Uchendu wrote on Twitter, "But did you ask the audience before reaching this decision?"
A cheeky reply, "Nah. I walked away with the lifeline cos I knew they'd given me the wrong answer," followed from the presenter.
"Who wants to be a Millionaire" developers, Ultima Limited have secured a sponsorship deal with Airopay after telecoms giant, MTN withdrew support.
This has seen the star prize on the show reduced from 10 million Naira to five million.
The owners of the show are yet to announce a new presenter which will require great care and thoughtfulness due to the attachment that currently exists between fans of the show and former host, Frank Edoho.
Many have expressed an intention to quit watching the programme due to the exit of their favourite game show anchor.
