Ghana is on the verge of losing Timothy Fosu-Mensah to Netherlands after he was handed a call-up to the Dutch national football team for their upcoming qualifiers.
The Crystal Palace defender, who is on loan from Manchester United, has been added to the squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against France and Bulgaria. He joins due to doubts over the fitness of Kenny Tete who is struggling with a knee problem.
Ghana’s hopes of getting Fosu-Mensah committed to the Black Stars may be dashed if the Crystal Palace defender gets the chance to feature for the Netherlands after earning a late call-up.
