You can't preorder the Super NES Classic Edition just yet, but Amazon, Best Buy, and others are getting ready.
Ever since Nintendo announced the SNES Classic Edition, fans have been frantically looking for a chance to reserve one. It's easy to understand why: The SNES Classic Edition is a miniaturized version of the original console that works with modern TVs, yet it costs just $80 and comes with 21 games packed in.
Better yet — one of those games is the never-before-released "Star Fox 2."
When the console launches in September, demand is expected to be very high. Thus, potential buyers have been eagerly anticipating the ability to preorder the system. As of Tuesday afternoon, the pre-orders have begun! Check out where to find them all below.
You can preorder the Super NES Classic Edition at any of the following retailers starting on Tuesday — the stores are going live on a rolling basis, it seems, with Amazon and Best Buy going live overnight (and selling out quickly).
Of note: The Super NES Classic Edition is a limited-edition product and planned for production only through the end of 2017. If you're interested in getting one for the $80 asking price — rather than double or more through resellers — your best bet is preordering one. Rest assured that the Super NES Classic Edition is going to be a high-demand holiday gift, so you'll want to get in on preorders to guarantee one in time for the holidays.
