A 13-year-old girl has been allegedly killed by an ex-convict at Nsawam near Nalerigu in the East Mamprusi district of the Northern region.
The suspect, Halidu Bukari had returned to the village last year after being jailed for killing his own daughter, Accra-based Starr FM reports.
Residents suspect that Halidu might be having a record of psychiatric disorder and perhaps kills for money rituals.

The regional police spokesman ASP Mohamed Yussif Tanko said the the victim was on her way to her father’s house when the suspect inflicted machete wounds on her, killing her instantly.
He fled after the incident but was caught by residents who nearly lynched him.
The body of the deceased has since been released to the family for burial, while the suspect is being treated at the hospital.
