

All is set for Ghana to compete at the 2017 IAAF World Athletic Championship
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has made available $84,990 for eight Ghanaian athletes to compete in the 2017 IAAF World Athletic Championship in London.
All the athletes that will be representing Ghana in the competition which starts from 4 August and ends on 13 August have already arrived.
Ghana’s athletics team has notable names like 200m sprinter Jane Amponsah, 400m runner Emmanuel Dasor, among others.
The total budget presented by Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) is $84,990, which will cover air fares, accommodation, feeding and per diem. Ghana’s campaign begins on August 5, when Emmanuel Dasor takes on the tracks for the 400m.
