And Pulse Sports can now confirm that Emmanuel Yartey has been mentally ill for sometime, but the cause of the sickness is not known yet.
Yartey has had stints with Okwawu United, Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
In 1998, he made the headlines while playing for Hearts of Oak when he and the late Lawrence Amankwa of Kotoko decided to only enter the field after play had commenced, so both sides began with 10 men each.
