It was a sad end to the season for these Ghanaian stars abroad
Majeed Waris
Relegation was confirmed for Majeed Waris' Lorient FC on Sunday when they played out a goalless draw at home against Troyes in the relegation/promotion playoff.
Lorient lost 2-1 at Troyes in the first leg on Thursday and needed at least a 1-0 win to make promotion certain, but they were held to a stalemate by the French Ligue 2 outfit.
Majeed paid his dues to the club in the 1st leg by scoring his side's lone goal in their 2-1 defeat, but that wasn't enough, as his side goes down to the French second tier.
In all the 25-year-old striker made 35 appearances for Lorient in the French Ligue 1 and registered nine goals (9)
Last two seasons he suffered relegation with Valenciennes FC
Mubarak Wakaso
Mubarak Wakaso completed a loan move from Panathinaikos to Granada in February 2017 and his impact in the team was felt in midfield, yet they were condemned to relegation with two games to end the season.
The 26-year-old combative midfielder played 11 games for the Spanish team and registered just a goal.
Granada placed last in the 20-club La Liga.

Alhassan Wakaso
The junior brother of Mubarak Wakaso joined the French Ligue 1 outfit in the middle of the season from Portuguese giant Rio Ave to boost their bid to avoid relegation.
Alhassan, however, did his bit but his efforts fell short of saving Lorient, who were rock bottom of the French Ligue 1 table all season long.
He featured 13 times for the club and didn't find the back of the net in any of those games.
Sulley Muntari
Ghana international Sulley Muntari and his Pescara side finished last in the Italian Serie A for the 2016-17 season.
Pescara found themselves languishing at the bottom of the league table all season long and not even the 32-year-old,Muntari, who joined them in the second half of the season, could inspire them to leapfrog their opponents.
Muntari made nine (9) appearances and scored a goal in his short stint with Pescara.
Pescara amassed just 18-points from a possible 114 points after 38 league games.
