Ghanaian Players Abroad: Majeed Waris suffer relegation with Lorient

The Ghana international was condemned to relegation with his French Ligue 1 side, Lorient after they drew 0-0 against Troyes

Majeed Waris and his compatriots  Alhassan Wakaso suffered relegation from the French Ligue 1 following a goalless draw against Troyes on Sunday.

Lorient lost 2-1 at Troyes in the relegaton/promotion play-off on Thursday and they needed at least a 1-0 win to make promotion certain, bu they were held to a goalless draw by the French Ligue 2 outfit.

Majeed paid his dues to the club in the 1st leg by scoring his side's lone goal in their 2-1 defeat, but that wasn't enough, as he went down to the French second tier league for the second consecutive season.

Last two seasons he suffered relegation with Valenciennes FC
