Ghanaian Players Abroad: Sulley Muntari’s Pescara finish bottom of Serie A

Sulley Muntari couldn’t inspire Pescara to lift themselves from relegation zone as they finished at the foot of the league ladder.

Ghana international Sulley Muntari and his Pescara side finished last of the Serie A in the 2016-17 Serie A.

Pescara found themselves languishing at the bottom of the league table all season long and not even could Sulley Muntari who joined them in the second half of the season inspire them to leapfrog their opponents.

However, Muntari was who signed a six-month deal with Pescara has been on the sidelines since he walked off the field after racial chants against Cagliari.

On the final day of the season they picked up a point against Fiorentina when they held them to a two all draw.

Pescara amassed just 18-points from a possible 114 points after 38 league games.
