A man believed to be in his 30’s has been shot by some unknown persons at Sakpoyiri a suburb of Wa in the Upper West region.
The man, only identified as Adams was shot in the abdomen Thursday evening after he had paid a visit to the Assembly Member for the area, Rasheed Suleiman, Accra-based Starr FM reports.
The assemblyman said he heard sporadic gunshots aimed at the victim in what he will describe as an unprovoked attack.
According to him, he immediately alerted the police and they later arrived at the scene after the victim had been taken to the hospital.
He is currently responding to treatment at the Wa regional hospital.
