There's a new, completely addictive website in town, and it's going to waste all of your spare time today.
The Hashtag Test is a wedding hashtag generator and "relationship compatibility" test created by The Black Tux, an online service that helps guys rent suits and tuxedos for weddings and special events.
"We had some fun with the wedding hashtag phenomenon you see all over social media today," says Matt Gierl, the vice president of growth at The Black Tux. "People can go crazy over their wedding hashtags, so we thought we'd fan the flames a bit by creating a tongue-in-cheek, Internet-based compatibility test for you and your significant other."
It's simple enough to use: You put in your first and last name, then the first and last names of your partner/crush/Ryan Gosling, and wait for the magic to happen.
"Once the user has input all the names, we cross-reference the names with popular word pairings and phrases we scraped from Wikipedia to see which has the closest rhyming match," Gierl explains. "The better the match, the higher the compatibility score."
Obviously, we had to try this out on a few celeb couples to see whether their hashtag suggestions were hot or not. Kim and Kanye scored only 25 percent compatibility, but their hashtag suggestion of #WestAndRelaxation was pretty great. Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are apparently 83 percent compatible, but their hashtag is not so cute (#TomOfTheWorld, meh), and Bey and Jay reached 63 percent compatibility (#AboveAndBeyonce, excellent). Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got 57 percent and the pleasing #LadyOfTheBlake, while George and Amal Clooney came in at 54 percent and the puzzling #FastAndClooney.
Please enjoy this very lighthearted site while procrastinating at work today.
