The Black Starlets demolished hosts Gabon 5-0 in their second group game at the 2017 Africa U-17 Championship on Wednesday night to qualify for the semi final of the 8-team tournament, a feat that qualifies them for the World Cup.

At the Stade de Port Gentil, a brace each from Eric Ayiah and man-of-the-match Emmanuel Toku, complemented by a goal from substitute Patmos Arhin, made sure coach Paa Kwesi Fabin's exciting boys qualified for the 2017 World Cup to be hosted by Egypt in October.

The Starlets, who have scored nine goals in two games without conceding, are currently two points clear in Group A.

They play Guinea in their last group game in Libreville on Saturday May 20.
Eric Ayiah, the team's 17-year-old striker who plays at Ghana second tier side Charity Stars, is now the tournament's top scorer with five goals in two games.
