The Principal of the Amedzofe Evangelical Presbyterian senior high school (AMECO), Reverend Sylvanus K. Tettey has been suspended for conveying firewood in the school's bus.
He was handed a three month suspension by the Education Ministry without salary.

The decision to suspend Rev. Tettey was reached following a meeting between him and officials of the Ministry of Education on Friday.
Reports by Pulse.com.gh on May 10, 2017, suggested that the school bus used for transporting students at the senior high school has been turned into a vehicle used for conveying firewood in the Volta region.

The firewood transported is being used for cooking for the students.
The Eicher Bus with registration number GV 158-16, was one of the 500 buses presented by former President John Mahama to ensure quality delivery of education in the country.
