Ashanti Region: Okomfo Anokye SHS assistant headmaster shot dead by armed robbers

James Agyei, was reportedly shot between Aboabogya and Adubinso in the Afigya Kwabre District of the Ashanti region on Sunday at about 4 am.

Some unknown assailants have shot dead the Assistant headmaster in charge of administration at the Okomfo Anokye Senior Higher School (SHS) at Wiamoase in the Ashanti region.

The 52-year-old, James Agyei, was reportedly shot between Aboabogya and Adubinso in the Afigya Kwabre District of the Ashanti region on Sunday at about 4 am.

The incident was said to have occurred whilst the victim was travelling in a white Mercedes Benz saloon vehicle with registration number WR 8808 A.

His mobile phones were taken away by the suspected robbers, but other valuables were not touched.

The Kodie District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Mr Ebenezer Benson has told  Graphic Online that investigations were underway.

The remains of Agyei have since been deposited at the morgue at the St. Patrick's Hospital at Offinso, pending an autopsy.
