The 31-year old Chinese woman Aisha Huang alleged to have engaged in galamsey activities has been remanded in Nsawam prison custody.
Aisha was remanded with four other Chinese nationals.
They include: Gao Jin Cheng 45, Lu Qi Jun 39, Haibin Gao 26 and Zhang Zhi Peng 23.
The Criminal High Court presided over by Justice Edward Charles Ekow Baiden asked them to return to court May 23, 2017.
Their lawyer Daniel Awuku’s plea to grant them bail by seizing their passports was refused.
Aisha was arrested when she attempted to plead for the release of her colleagues at Ghana Immigration Service office in Accra after she freed her illegal mining site at Bepotenten in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region.
They were arrested by the National Security last year but released following an order by the Ashanti Regional Security Council (REGSEC).
They were re-arrested over the weekend and handed over to Ghana Immigration Service (GIS).
