Kwadwo Bamba, alleged leader of the New Patriotic Party’s Delta Force group that forcefully removed the Regional Security Coordinator (REGSEC) from his office, has apologized for his groups behavior.
It took the timely intervention of the Ghana Police Service, who ended up rushing the newly appointed official out of the office premises, in order for calm to be restored.
Following Mr. Bamba’s arrest on Sunday, March 25th, Mr. Bamba has been granted bail, although the amount is yet to be revealed.
In an interview, Mr. Bamba publicly apologized to President Akufo Addo, the NPP regional chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi), Dr Amoako Tuffuor, Sammi Awuku, and all Ghanaians for what happened last Friday.
“We (Delta Force) were totally wrong, we are sorry for what happened,” he apologized on behalf of the group.
