Gospel musician, Prophet Seth Frimpong says although he is a member of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), it did not offer him a penny when he was sick and bedridden for a couple of years.
In an interview with KMJ on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, he noted that although he is an active member of MUSIGA and its leaders were well informed about his condition, they did not show any sign of support.
The ‘Okumchola’ hitmaker said prior to falling sick, he had paid up his Union dues and was surprised MUSIGA demanded his list of prescribed medication which he presented to them but did not hear from them again.
Mr Frimpong said he visited their office once but did not like the way things were being managed.
He did not fail to register his disappointed with colleagues in the industry who neglected him during his time of need.
The Dancing Prophet as many described him, however, singled out musician Brother Sammy for praise as the only one who visited and gave him some money.
He disclosed that his wife deserted him in hard times, explaining that she left him when he fell sick. He added that she left their only child uncared for so he had to take the child to his mother while he was sick.
Mr Frimpong said it was a difficult and sad time in his life but he did not lose faith in the word of God which carried him through.
He stated his willingness to help anyone in the industry who needs his assistance because it is God's gift to him that he cannot deny others.
His fans should expect a new single from him featuring Brother Sammy.
